Memories

My strongest memories of Christmas involve going out with my Dad to get the Christmas tree. We'd get in our old '47 GMC pickup and drive out to the woods. Then we would walk into the woods looking for a small cedar tree. When I found the one I wanted, Dad would cut it down and then we'd drag it back to the pickup to take it home.

I don't remember much about the Christmas presents I got, but I do remember going to get the Christmas tree. I think part of the reason that memory is so strong is because Dad was a farmer who didn't have much time for anything but work. Getting the Christmas tree was one of the very few things we did together that wasn't work.

So we hope you'll bring your family to Pleasant Ridge and make some memories with your children picking pumpkins, choosing a Christmas tree or just playing on some hay bales. That's really what we're all about.

If you have memories or pictures from the Pumpkin Patch that you'd like to share, we invite you to send them to us. We'd love to post them here on the Memories Page.
