Pumpkins, Christmas Trees, & Memories

Welcome to Pleasant Ridge! We're pleased to be the home of Peckham's Pumpkin Patch, Memory Lane Christmas Tree Farm and Memory Lane Christmas Lights. They're all fun and entertaining activities for the whole family. We hope you'll visit each of the activities in season and come back to visit our Web site year round.

We're building Pleasant Ridge as a home for several seasonal activities. At the present time it consists of an old corn crib built in 1910 and a church building built in 1865. The corn crib is the sales location for Peckham's Pumpkin Patch. It was moved here from another part of the farm in 1998. The church building was moved here from a site 5 miles away in 1993. When we finish fixing it up, we plan to use it as part of our Christmas celebration and make it available for weddings. Our plans for the future are to build a log cabin that will be sales location for Memory Lane Christmas Trees and the Memory Lane Christmas Lights.

Hi. I'm Harry Peckham. My wife Juanita and I are the creators of this little community. I was born and raised here. The name Pleasant Ridge comes from the one room school near here that I attended for 6 years. Three of our daughters, Shelby, Windy and Angela, are involved in the creation of this community. Our other two children Skye and Carl live out of state. Any time we're open, you'll likely see several of our grandchildren or great-granddaughter helping out.

Pleasant Ridge is easy to get to and it is on an asphalt road. From Ottawa, it is 8 miles east on K-68 highway to Vermont Road, then 3 miles south on Vermont and make a right turn.

From Wellsville, it is 7 miles south on K-33 to K-68. Go one mile west on K-68 to Vermont road, then 3 miles south on Vermont.

The Following Scheduled Times

Peckham's Pumpkin Patch will be open weekends starting Sept. 27th, 2008 until Halloween. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday hours are Noon to 6 p.m.

We support Trees for Troops.  Trees for Troops is a program of the National Christmas Tree Association and the FedEx Corporation. Tree growers, like us, donate trees that FedEx picks up and delivers to military bases across the country. There the trees are distributed to military families that wouln't be able to afford to buy one. You can help support the program by donating a tree or cash to help pay for the overhead expenses.

Thanks for the support last year!

Memory Lane Christmas Lights will open for viewing the evening of Thanksgiving Day and every evening, except Mondays & Tuesdays, through Christmas Eve. The hours will be from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. every evening.

At Pleasant Ridge we grow pumpkins and Christmas trees to sell, but we feel our real products are memories. My best memory of Christmas is going out with Dad to cut the Christmas tree. Pumpkins and Christmas trees will only last a few weeks, but memories may last a lifetime. We hope you'll take some time and bring your family to visit Pleasant Ridge and take home some memories.
